I am probably the wrong person to review the Samsung Galaxy Note7. I am one of the few remaining fans of smaller handsets; my daily phone is the 4-inchiPhone SE. But there is a lot to the Note7 to convince me that I am wrong and the market is right, and larger smartphones are the smarter choice.
On a recent episode of Radio National’s Download This Show (available as a podcast) Marc Fennell and guests workshopped how they would build the perfect podcast app. The problem with podcasts, they argued, was they’re difficult to discover and share. Until these issues were solved, podcasts were never going to capitalise on their popularity. It was a great discussion, but I’m not convinced another app is the answer. (read more)
In a year of disappointing Android releases, the one device that’s stood out so far has been the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Samsung refined the gorgeous curved screen design, while addressing all the major concerns of the S6 variant. With the Note7, Samsung refines the design again, this time adding the same curved glass panel to the back of the phone. (read more)
